MagicViewer lets you work with single images and animations seamlessly in the same work area. The Animation pane automatically appears on the left of the main window when an animation is opened or created. This pane contains the animation toolbar that lets you play, stop, step to the previous or next frame, and edit frame properties. It also displays a thumbnail of each frame in the animation, where you can drag and drop one or more frames to re-order them.

Creating an Animation

You can create an animation by importing a digital camera multiburst captured image, a group of existing image files, by inserting new frames, or by duplicating the opened image. Once loaded in MagicViewer, you can playback the animation, or modify the frame properties.

Optimizing the Animation

MagicViewer lets you optimize the animation to reduce file size for fast Web download using either the Frame differencing or Minimum bounding rectangle method. You can also choose to use a single global color palette to further reduce the file size. The Expand command lets you restore the full content of each frame if you need to make changes after applying the optimization.

Transparency & Color Depth

You can use the Magic Wand or Rectangular selection tools to highlight areas in the image, then crop or delete the selection to create transparent background. MagicViewer automatically finds an unused color in the palette to use as the transparency index, and calculates the lowest color bit depth required when saving GIF files. So you always get the smallest file size and the best results.
 

If you own a digital camera, use or work with digital images, MagicViewer has the right tools to help you get organized. You can get access to your digital images quickly and share them on the web or via email easily.

 

1. A click of a button lets you view photos directly from your digital camera without having to import them to your hard drive first. You can view the detailed information about each photo including camera settings recorded in EXIF format, display the photos in a slide show and then copy the ones you like to your hard drive.

2. Sending picture email is a great way to share photos with your friends and family. It is easy to do so in MagicViewer 3. Simply select the photos you want to email and click a button on the toolbar!

MagicViewer can resize down the photos to make sending and receiving picture emails faster. It can also give the files more meaningful names all at your command without modifying the original files.

MagicViewer 3 works with your favorite email program. There is no need to learn another application or interface.

3. If you have an internet connection, chances are you have a space reserved for your personal web pages. Publishing pictures to web is a great way to share photos with a large audiance. MagicViewer 3 makes it easy to help you do just that. Select the photos you want to publish, click a button on the toolbar, fill in your server settings (only for the first time) and the job is done!

 Like emailing pictures, MagicViewer can resize the pictures and give them better names without changing the original files.

For web graphics professionals, MagicViewer 3 lets you upload your web graphics directly from the same application where you edit and view them. The thumbnail index page will help you catalog and manage the graphics on your web site. 

Batch processing lets you apply the same changes on multiple files with a single operation. You can use it on selected files to convert file formats, change color modes, rotate and resize images, rename and move files to a different directory.

MagicViewer 3's batch processing wizard further simplifies batch processing by guiding you through the steps to create a batch script, and optimizing the operations in the script for best results.

You can create as many named scripts as you need to perform various tasks. Once scripts are created you can start a batch processing procedure by selecting the files to be processed, choosing a batch script and then pressing the Run button.

Here are some example batch scripts you can create in MagicViewer 3:

Prepare for web graphics converts all selected files into GIF format using web-safe 216 color palette. It outputs all files into a folder ready to upload.

Generate thumbnail images creates a small thumbnail image for each of the selected files and outputs them in a designated folder. It uses the resize option Specify Max. Width to make the thumbnail images always smaller than the specified width. You can also choose other resize options such as Specify Fixed Width or Height, and Specify Scale.










Correct photo orientation rotates the selected photos 90 degrees clockwise. This is useful when pictures were shot using both landscape and portait mode.

MagicViewer 3 offers powerful yet easy-to-use printing functions that let you make good prints right on your home printer. You can make single prints of your photos, or print the photo on multiple pages to make a poster. You can specify the print sizes on paper or choose one of the popular sizes ranging from wallet size to the full page greeting card. You have the options to crop or shrink the image to best fit the paper, and how the print will be positioned on the paper.

If you work with animations, you may print the animation to make a flip book or a storyboard. You have the options to specify print layout in terms of number of rows and columns, or select Print All On One Page option and let MagicViewer find the best layout for you.

Printing is fun and easy. MagicViewer works with all Windows-based printers, whether it's connected to your computer or located in your local area network.

Contact Sheet is a thumbnail index print of your photos on one or more pages. Printing a contact sheet is easy in MagicViewer 3. Select the photos you want to print then click on Contact Sheet toolbar button. You can choose from the small thumbnail size, 0.5 inch by 0.5 inch, to large 2 inch by 2 inch. You can also choose Print All On One Page option and let MagicViewer find the best thumbnail size and layout to print a single page contact sheet.
